Cynon Valley Local Business Awards – the results!

Huge congratulations to Aga and Cem Karatay, proprietors of Pop In Cafe in Canon Street Aberdare, winners of my first Local Business Awards!

Those nominating the café said how friendly and welcoming the staff are, and that the food is delicious and great value.

With a total of nearly 5000 individual nominations for nearly 300 local businesses, from high street shops and cafés, to consultancy firms, and individual tradespeople, we hope the awards will raise the profiles of local businesses, and encourage people to shop locally.

Runners-up were: Town Hall Café in Mountain Ash; Rachael’s Playhouse (Hirwaun and Aberdare); and Mountain Ash Embroidery.
