on 10th October 2020 Cynon Valley CLP will host its 2020 Keir Hardie Lecture, with the lecture to be delivered by General Secretary of the PCS Union and President of the Trades Union Congress, Mark Serwotka.

Mr Serwotka, who was born in Aberdare, will be using the platform to speak about the Covid pandemic and the aftermath, as well as the issues for our communities.

Keir Hardie was a founding member of the Labour party, and its first parliamentary leader. He was also the MP for Merthyr Tydfil and Aberdare until his death. The Keir Hardie lectures, inaugurated in 1980 are about remembering the contribution he made to the South Wales communities and the Labour Movement.
